Surprise, surprise!
I've still been online a lot, but too busy for a regular blog you see. Plus, I usually don't many interesting things, so I feel like it's a waste to fill you in on useless things (that's what facebook and twitter are for).
BUT if you absolutely must know what I'm up to, I'll be posting an updated list of links to get at me soon. Most of the ones in my second post down there either don't exist or barely get used by me. Sunrise, sunset.
At any rate, if I have any readers, I hope you're all enjoying the new year, and I'll eventually be back with those updated links, but it's 4:15 in the morning and I need some sleep.

Mindless!
That picture may be from Glasgow, but the enthusiasm and joy was just the same at the Electric Factory in Philly on Friday night. And you missed it. Unless you were there, and I didn't know who you are. At any rate, the show kicked major ass, and I recommend you going to see Mindless Self Indulgence whenever they come back to the area. You won't regret it.
I'm putting pictures up on my Flickr, and videos up on my youtube channel. The links are in the first post of this blog. If I get some ambition, I might just edit this post later and put them here. But for now you have to do some WORK. You gotta EARN those pictures and videos. Nothing good comes for free.
Except samples at the supermarket.

More Be Your Own Pet
See, Jemina wants you at the show in Philadelphia. Unless you want to see them at one of their other dates on the Nylon Magazine tour. Then you'll miss out on hanging out with me. But at any rate, she looks pretty inviting.
THE POINT BEING: Get your tickets if you don't already have some. Because hey, it doesn't cost much and the TLA is a pretty good venue.

Join the Be Your Own Pet Street Team

So in case that image didn't get your attention, I'll explain further. Be Your Own Pet is an awesome band. They have a new album out (Get Awkward, buy it here), and are currently on tour for Nylon Magazine with She Wants Revenge, The Virgins, and Switches.
While all this is going on, you can join their street team by clicking that image above. Besides being a place to meet up with other BYOP fans and get info, there's downloads and eventual exclusives. I'm a member, and you should be too. So get to joining!

A bit of randomness to start off
1. This has been around awhile apparently, but I haven't seen it until now. It's a way to see how diverse your musical tastes are. You need a last.fm account, and you need to have listened to at least 20 different artists. Then it tells you on a scale of 5-100 how wide ranging your listening habits have been.
Take your top 20 artists. For each of these artists, collect the top 5 similar artists. The resulting number of unique artists is your eclectic score. If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference. You can compute your own score at http://anthony.liekens.net/pub/scripts/last.fm/eclectic.php
The 90 related artists for my profile are Band of Horses, Beck, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Bonde do Role, Cake, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (4), Common, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cut Copy, DJ Topcat, Das Pop, Defiance, Ohio, Diplo, Disco Dan, Divide & Kreate, Fake Problems, Franz Ferdinand, George Harrison, Hi-Tek, Hot Water Music, Ill Mitch, Jack White, John Lennon, KMFDM, Kaiser Chiefs, Kanye West, Keith
Richards, King Khan & BBQ, King Of Pants, Kings of Leon, Klaxons, LCD Soundsystem, LO-FI-FNK, Le Tigre, Led Zeppelin, M.I.A./Diplo, Max Entropy, Menomena, Metric, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, New Young Pony Club, Nine Inch Nails, Oblivians, Organized Rhyme, Orgy, Party Ben, Paul McCartney, Paul McCartney & Wings, Peaches, Reigning Sound, Retard-O-Bot, Rhymefest, SEGA, SHITDISCO, Simian Mobile Disco, Sonic Team, Soul Coughing, Supafloss, Talib Kweli, Test Icicles, The Apples in Stereo, The Beatles, The Black Lips, The Flaming Lips, The Go Find, The Horrors, The Kooks, The Lawrence Arms, The Left Rights, The Libertines (2), The Long Blondes, The New Pornographers, The Olivia Tremor Control, The Ponys, The Raconteurs, The Strokes (2), The Teenagers, The Unicorns, The White Stripes (3), The Who (2), This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb, Thugnificent, Tom Green, Uffie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (3), You Say Party! 2. Casey & His Brother foldable toys! Free!!!
I got a myspace bulletin from Tim & Eric telling me of these, and they are some of the snazziest promotional items ever. I recommend making your own. You can check them out at their store.
If you're too lazy to check out their store, here they are. Because I have nothing better to do than copy and paste. But seriously, you should buy something from them in their store and contribute to the T&E empire.
Casey's Toy >
Casey's Brother Toy >
Casey's Brother Hamburger Toy >
Download em, print em out, leave them on your Pep Pep's night stand!
I didn't think of that last line, that was totally them. But you can pretend I was that clever.

MSI Underground (a forum for fans of the band Mindless Self Indulgence, which I am): http://www.mindless-self-indulgence.com/forums/index.php?showuser=1826

Those are pretty much it. Now that that's out of the way, I'll have regular posts with, you know, actual content. Probably.
For now, check out a band called Plastic Operator, if you haven't already heard of them. They're for fans of the Postal Service who wish they were two European guys who were a little more into electro. Trust me. Find a copy of their album or one of their EPs.
